Description

Callus plasters - Urgo

Thanks to their hydrocolloid mass , URGO Traitement Calluses dressings relieve pain from the first application and eliminate pressure zones from shoe friction. In addition, the emollient and moisturizing action of the glycerin helps to soften and gently eliminate calluses. Ultra thin and transparent, they ensure comfort and total discretion when treating calluses.

Instructions for use:

  1. Make sure that the skin of the callus does not have no lesions, no wounds, no redness .
  2. Soak the foot 10 minutes in hot water .
  3. Clean and disinfect the callus and its surrounding area with an antiseptic solution (alcohol-free). Rinse then dry with a sterile compress or leave to dry.
  4. Warm the dressing in the hands.
  5. Remove the first protective fin without touching the central adhesive part of the dressing.
  6. Apply the hydrocolloid dressing centered on the callus ; the callus should be completely covered by the dressing.
  7. Remove the second protection by smoothing and in pressing the edges of the dressing to increase adhesion. Renew the dressing according to the instructions, on average once a day , or when it starts to crease. The dressing should not remain in place for more than 2 to 3 days , after which it should be removed if it has not come off on its own.
  8. Once the dressing is removed, remove/rattle off the excess softened skin on the surface of the callus. and apply a new dressing if necessary, according to the instructions for use.

Indications/precautions:

  • Hydrocolloid dressing, non-sterile, indicated for the treatment of calluses
  • Do not cut. Single use, do not reposition a dressing once applied, do not reuse the same dressing (risk of poor hygiene and non-adherence),
  • Do not apply to damaged skin or a wound (risk of infection)
  • Do not apply a dressing or remove the dressing already applied and consult a doctor or podiatrist:
    – in case of worsening of the callus or absence of improvement within 6 days of treatment,
    – if there are signs of infection (redness, pain, heat, swelling around the wound, pus, etc.)
  • Diabetic patients are advised to use hydrocolloid dressings only under medical or nursing supervision.
  • If there is sticky hydrocolloid residue on the skin, soaking with water is recommended: the adhesive will swell, lose its adhesiveness and come off.
  • Do not use these dressings for more than 30 consecutive days.
  • Store dressings in their original box.
  • The product is to be applied by an adult for children under 16 years old.

Side effects:

  • This dressing may cause skin reactions such as redness, irritation, dermatitis or even pain upon removal.

To minimize any risk of infection or skin reactions:

  • Follow the instructions for use carefully. Do not reuse a used dressing.
  • Do not apply to eyes or mucous membranes. Do not use after the expiration date. Do not use damaged product.
